an artist, ice skater, fashion lover, and firm believer that life is a runway so you might as well dress for it. When I’m not creating, you can usually find me wandering the streets of NYC searching for the perfect thrift-store find, eating sushi, or deciding that ice cream absolutely counts as dinner.
Art and fashion have always been a huge part of who I am, even when they weren’t a huge part of my school experience. Growing up, I attended a school with limited opportunities in the arts, and it wasn’t always easy to find other students who shared the same creative passions. Instead of letting that limit me, I looked for opportunities outside of school. Throughout high school, I spent my Saturdays taking pre-college courses at FIT, where I was able to challenge myself creatively and be surrounded by people who were just as excited about art and fashion as I was. I also completed a college credit program at SCAD, where I studied fashion design and became even more certain that this was the industry I wanted to be a part of.
My love for fashion started long before I understood that it could become my career. My mom was a textile designer, and growing up, I loved seeing her work and learning about the creative process behind it. It sparked something in me that has only grown stronger as I’ve gotten older. Fashion became more than just something I loved to wear—it became a way for me to combine art, creativity, individuality, and self-expression.
In college, I hope to study fashion design while also exploring the business side of the industry. My dream is not just to work in fashion, but to help shape where it goes next. I have a lot to learn, even more to create, and probably a few more thrift stores to discover along the way. I can’t wait to see where it all takes me.
