Pieces of Me
Oil pastels/collage 24x18
For this self-portrait, I wanted to focus less on what I look like and more on what makes me who I am. I created a collage of things I love, places that inspire me, and images that represent different parts of my personality. I combined these images with a drawing of myself to show what is going on inside my head rather than just what can be seen from the outside. Each piece of the collage represents a small piece of me and comes together to create a portrait that feels more personal than a traditional self-portrait.

Pieces of Me
Oil pastels/collage 24x18
This is the most personal piece of artwork in my portfolio. I wanted to focus less on what I actually look like, and more on what makes me who I am. I felt inspired to create a collage of things I love, places that inspire me, and images that represent different parts of my personality. I combined these images with a loose pastel drawing of myself to show what is inside my head, not what is on the surface. By drawing myself abstractly, I felt the viewer would understand this is an inner self-portrait of how I view myself.
