Pretty in pink

Pretty in Pink

Oil on canvas 16x20

For this piece, I painted my bedroom while learning one-point perspective. I chose my bedroom because I know the space well and wanted to challenge myself to show depth and layout from my point of view. Creating this painting taught me how perspective can make a flat surface feel three dimensional, especially through the placement of furniture and objects throughout the room. I especially enjoyed mixing different shades of pink and using the floral patterns to bring my personality into the piece.
